Popular Dry Ice Fog Machines
AQUAFOG 3300
The AQUAFOG 3300 from City Theatrical (available for rental or purchase from Limelight) is the premiere dry ice fog machine.
The AQUAFOG 3300T features a durable molded thermoplastic tank manufactured specifically for this use rather than a converted 55 gallon metal drum. A pump brings heated water from the tank up to the dry ice rather than requiring that you lower ice into the water which typically reduces the water temperature and - depending on the ability of the heating element to keep up - slows the production of fog. To mitigate against a sudden cooling, older solutions required a larger volume of water be stored and heated, making them difficult to move or reposition and requiring several hours to reach operating temperature. In addition to reduced weight, built in wheels help facilitate moving the AQUAFOG.
Peasouper
While the Aquafog 3300 may be the "Cadillac" of dry ice solutions, the smaller Peasouper from Le Maitre offers an alternative as a professional, cost-effective solution for creating traditional low-lying fog effects for up to 5 minutes in duration. The amount of fog output is controlled using a four-step ratchet lowering system that positions the dry-ice basket at various depths in the boiling water.
Dry Icer
Designed for use with the G150 or newer Speed Fogger, the Dry Icer chills the smoke to sub zero temperatures in a mixing chamber using high pressure liquid CO2 from a cylinder for a very dense low lying fog effect.
