A traditional approach to making snow onstage is with the use of shredded plastic (or paper) "snow" dropped from a snow bag, or cradle. Typically a snow bag is made out of a piece of muslin with a field of small holes covering about 1/3 of an end. Hung from two adjacent battens and filled with the plastic flakes, snow is "made" by moving one of the battens up and down slightly to allow snow to filter through the holes. Available for purchase in virtually any size. (Our most popular size is a 3'x40' Snow Cradle priced at $340. A 3'x12' cradle is $150. )
A snow bag - or snow cradle - is made out of a piece of muslin with webbing & ties on both ends and a field of small holes (approximately 1/2" depending on the "snow" to be used) covering about 1/3 of an end. Hung from two adjacent battens and filled with the plastic flakes, snow is "made" by moving one of the battens up and down slightly to allow snow to filter through the holes.
