Mahaiwe Theatre Gala, Great Barrington, Massachusetts

MPAC Gala LightingA "deep in the forest" effect was created by overlapping multiple Source Four units with Universal Iris slot holders containing one steel pattern (Rosco #7864, Branch Leaves) and one prismatic glass gobo (either Flaming Sun #43806 or Sunset #43804).

MPAC Gala LightingThe prismatics were alternated in each unit to make sure no like colors would overlap. The steel pattern was flipped and orientated differently in each fixture to assure that there would be no recognizable repeating pattern. All color came from the prismatic itself and no gel was used.

MPAC Gala Lighting

MPAC Gala LightingEach table received a circle of light with no color added.  This was done by centering a small ellipsoidal fixture directly over each table.  This brought out the centerpieces, linens, dishware, and sparkling glasses without creating an uncomfortable glare in the eyes of the diners.

The lighting fixtures for this event were black but the pin spots used for table lighting are available in white to better match some venues (tents and ballrooms).
