PLASA and ESTA - the leading trade associations representing the North American entertainment technology industry have joined together under the PLASA name.
The strengthened organization has a worldwide membership of over 1100 companies and individuals who supply technologies and services to the event, entertainment and installation industries.
The association, with offices in Europe and North America, is the worldwide voice for the industry, providing business resources, technical support and commercial benefits to its members.
The Entertainment Technician Certification Program (ETCP) originally developed by ESTA will now continue under the agis of the PLASA to serve the entertainment industry in North America. ETCP is the widely recognized certification in the areas of Rigger for Arena, Rigger for Theatre and Entertainment Electrician. Similar certification programs are overseen by PLASA in the UK.
