Limelight Productions is pleased to announce that William Beautyman, Robert Medve and Greg Mitchell have all successfully passed the certification testing to become part of the inaugural class of ETCP Certified Entertainment Electricians.
The Certified Entertainment Electrician designation is the second certification program implemented by the Entertainment Technician Certification Program Council and is designed to test a well-defined body of knowledge representative of current professional electrical practices. Successful completion of a certification examination verifies broad-based knowledge as an entertainment electrician.
William Beautyman is President and owner of Limelight Productions, Inc. which he established in 1972 to meet the equipment and supply needs of the entertainment industry in western Massachusetts and throughout the Northeast. Robert Medve is Project Manager at Limelight where he oversees the design and installation of theatrical equipment in new and renovated facilities including the installation of rigging and lighting systems.
In addition to the electrician certification, Mr. Beautyman and Mr. Medve are Certified Theatrical Riggers under the ETCP program. Greg Mitchell is Electronics Technician at Limelight and performs factory authorized repairs and installation of state-of-the-art as well as older, legacy lighting and effects control systems. Mr. Mitchell holds numerous manufacturer certifications including ETC (Electronic Theatre Controls) and Strand Lighting.
The ETCP Council members are key leaders drawn from entertainment business, labor, facilities, associations, and academia representing the diversity of the entertainment industry. Membership includes, Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), Canadian Institute for Theatre Technology (CITT), Entertainment Services and Technology Association (ESTA), International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), International Association of Assembly Managers (IAAM), InfoComm, Live Nation, Production Resource Group, The League of American Theatres and Producers, Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), and United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT).
