Limelight Productions recently hosted an OSHA 10 Construction Safety Course. Completing the course were Bob Medve, Project Manager; Greg Mitchell, Service Manager; Al Spangenburg, Rigger; and William Beautyman, President.
The OSHA 10 Hour course was developed by the US Department of Labor to provide workers, supervisors, and other personnel responsible for construction activities with an awareness of construction safety and health concerns in the construction industry. Participants become familiar with applying the OSHA Standards for Construction (29 CFR 1926) as well as other construction safety and health standards.
In addition to supplying equipment and supplies to theatrical and film productions, Limelight provides stage rigging, as well as lighting control systems, as part of new and renovation construction projects placing its work and workers at the core of frequently complex building processes.
OSHA 10 demonstrates Limelight's commitment to safety, and is part of its ongoing program of continuing education and certification.
In addition to OSHA 10, staff at Limelight hold other relevant certifications including the entertainment industry-specific ETCP Entertainment Electrician certification and ETCP Theatre Rigging certification.
